Thank you Barack Obama for opening my eyes.  Because of your candidacy I have been transformed from low information voter, voting lock step in my parents Republican ideologies, to someone who takes the time to read the issues and the stances of the politicians.  It is amazing what just a little research into issues could do to transform my understanding of the parties and what each stood for.
